Hato Matcha was born in Hong Kong, with tea sourced from Japan and a life shaped by the city we call home.
Our name comes from hato, the Japanese word for pigeon, a bird that travelled far, adapted to the city, and still knows how to find its way home.
That instinct became the idea behind Hato. Matcha is our small daily ritual: something familiar to return to, wherever the day has taken us.
