Ujimidori is Hato Matcha’s first release: a first-flush, single-cultivar matcha from Kyoto’s Uji region. Before harvest, the fields are shaded for notably longer than is typical in Kyoto, slowing the leaf’s growth and deepening both its sweetness and colour.
A chocolate aroma opens onto a smooth, creamy sip, gently nutty, then a lingering sweetness with umami underneath. Balanced and approachable, a matcha that’s easy to enjoy no matter how you make it.
Additional Information
A little separation with dairy milk is completely normal and expected. Natural compounds in matcha can interact with milk proteins, sometimes causing small flecks or separation.It’s harmless and doesn’t noticeably affect the taste. Simply give it a stir, or use plant-based milk for a smoother texture.
